Anti-Corruption Voices Foundation (ACVF) in collaboration with Prevention and Combating Corruption Bureau (PCCB) and other Partners are organizing the first ever national anti-corruption Marathon “Sepesha Rushwa Marathon”. The marathon will take place on Sunday 1st December 2024 at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma. The marathon expects to mobilize more than 3,000 participants from all over Tanzania. The marathoners will have chance to run HALF MARATHON 21.1 Kilometers, 10 Kilometers and 5 Kilometers.
Objectives Of SEPESHA RUSHWA MARATHON
i. To mobilize community voices towards building strong youth led anti-corruption movement in Tanzania.
ii. To mobilize and fundraise financial resources that will support ACVF to implement “Sepesha Rushwa Campaign” in Dar Es Salaam, Dodoma and Arusha regions as pilot regions for 3 years, by the end of 31 st December 2025
iii. To amplify the voice of young people to end and fight corruption in Tanzania by the end of 31 st December 2025.
Rationale Of SEPESHA RUSHWA MARATHON
“SEPESHA RUSHWA MARATHON” will attract the participation of the public and private sectors as well as civil society to support efforts to prevent corruption, improve remedies to address wrongdoing when it occurs as well as work towards improving behaviors, norms, and standards needed to sustain anticorruption efforts.
